Michael Algar: “El nuevo álbum está casi escrito”. Entrevista con THE TOY DOLLS

FOR ENGLISH VERSION, GO TO THE BOTTOM

¿Conoces o escuchas a alguna banda argentina?

¡Amamos a Argentina!

¡No puedo esperar a estar allá!

(Risas) Sí, a veces. ¡Totalmente!

You are coming back to Argentina, a country with a very strong Punk tradition. What do you remember about your last show here? Do you know or listen to any Argentinean band?

We love Argentina, always very loyal! I remember the crowd being party people who wanna rock! Not sure about the names of Argentinean bands unfortunately, would love to hear more!

The band filmed a video at the show in Argentina in 2006. Is there any plan to record something of the current tour?

We always record little bits and pieces of shows yes. Cant wait to get there!

In politically complex times like the ones we are living. What do you feel when in “Nellie The Elephant” the band screams “Trump, Trump, Trump”? Do you end up laughing at the situation?

(Laughs) Yes, sometimes! Totally!

I know it’s an awkward question but, considering the many changes of members in the group, how are things internally? How do you feel touring again in South America?

It’s a pleasure and an honour to be back in South America, especially with Duncan (Redmonds, drums) and Tommy (Blyth, bass) who have been with me for over a decade now!

Is there any new studio album in the group’s plans? What’s next for THE TOY DOLLS after this tour?

Yes, absolutely! The new album is almost written , it will be recorded in 2019.

THE TOY DOLLS 40th anniversary shows will begin from the end of 2019, throughout 2020!
