WAYNE STATIC, cantante de STATIC-X ha muerto a la edad de 48 años. Su muerte fue confirmada mediante un comunicado de sus representantes FIXT Publicity en las redes sociales del cantante y el grupo.

Oficialmente sus familiares han dado a conocer que el cantante murió mientras dormía en su casa, rechazando los rumores que hablaban de una posible sobredosis, ya que el había dejado las drogas desde el 2009.

STATIC, cuyo nombre real era Wayne Richard Wells co-fundo STATIC-X en 1994 y 5 años después publico su primer disco oficial, el aclamado «Wisconsin Death Trip», a este le siguieron 5 discos, siendo el ultimo «Cult Of Static» en 2009, luego de esto WAYNE dio paso a su carrera en solitario publicando «Pighammer» en 2011
