METALLICA ha anunciado el lanzamiento de las versiones remasterizadas de sus primeros discos, Kill ‘Em All y Ride The Lightning. Se trata de ediciones en caja de lujo, con numerosos extras pensados para el coleccionista más completista. Kill ‘Em All constará de cuatro Vinilos, cinco CDs, y un DVD; mientras que Ride The Lightning estará compuesto por cuatro Vinilos, seis CDs, y un DVD. Puedes consultar todos los contenidos más abajo (las portadas definitivas no han sido reveladas todavía).

Las cajas se pondrán a la venta el 15 de abril de 2016 a través del sello del grupo, Blackened Recordings, pero ya se pueden reservar en la tienda online de METALLICA a través de los siguientes links: Ride The Lightning; Kill ‘Em All.

Según METALLICA, aparte de los álbumes remasterizados, el material incluido proviene «de la colección personal de la banda, con muchas grabaciones que nunca antes han sido escuchadas o vistas, junto a rarezas fotográficas y ensayos escritos por quienes estuvieron allí». La banda además ha adelantado dos bonus tracks.
