For english version, go to the bottom.

ENGLISH VERSION

The single “Loathe” it’s in a slower vein than most of your recent work. Was this kind of approach product of a jam session?

obituaryNo real approach. We try not to think too much about what we are doing just have fun with it. We always liked the old really slow Death Metal but this song is a bit rediculous for sure. Really fun. It was one of those song when as soon as we started the song the words I loathe just came into my head! I remember thinking…this is rediculously slow…love it!

What’s the concept behind “Loathe”? In which specific situations of the world’s recent events do you think that the song would apply?

Once again, we try to not think too much when writing so as much I would like to bring up one of the many current world events that are fucked up that is not what we are about.

After two years, do you think that something has changed for the better in the band after Inked in Blood (2014)?

I know we are having fun and we have a lot of fans supporting us. As long as that is the case we will keep this thing rolling. Inked is a great álbum with some really good songs on it and we have a great time playing songs off it live!

Now that the band has Bandcamp, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, are you  the kind of group that follows the socials networks or you try to be out of that?

We are directly involved with our social media sites and I really think you have too be. So many people out there you cant “not” do it. It is amazing when I think back to when we started and where it is now. So cool being able to directly talk with our fans from around the world. People are still amazed when they email us and I answer them back.

Both “Loathe” and the video you posted on FB of Donald playing in slow motion can be considered as teasers of what your next album will be all about (heavy and slow) or we can expect some fast riffing as well?

obituaryIts got a little bit of eveything. I cannot wait for this to be released. I think it is some of the best song writing we have done. Now that it is all done I can sit back and just jam it with out thinking about the writing, producing, mixing… just jam it and it awesome

You’ve made a pretty funny video for “Violence”. It’s great that you don’t try to be scary dudes all the time or any of that shit. What is your opinion on bands that spend their time offstage trying to create an aura of evil around themselves?

All I will say is be yourself and do what you want. I live in Florida so walking around in jeans and a leather jacket is not going to work. I am a shorts and flip flops kind of dude.

There was a five years lapse between Darkest Day (2009) and Inked In Blood (2014). What made things go that way? And giving that it’s 2016 and you’re already in the studio working on your new material, what has changed?

Just the way we are. We write when we want and do think to much about when or what we did last. There was long periods between Xecutioners Return and Frozen in Time but not planned. Just the way it works out sometime

It’s been six years since your last visit to Argentina. Can we expect that your new album will bring you back?

I hope so. Always a good time and we have been trying but it has just been tuff getting something together. We are working on it!
